Le Royal Monceau opened in 1928, and over the years has attracted creatives and statesmen alike: General Eisenhower, Walt Disney, and Madonna have all been guests, Ray Charles, for whom a suite is now named, moved in for a while. Raffles assumed the management of the property in 2007 and carried out a significant overhaul of the interiors, with Phillippe Starck at the helm, before reopening as Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris in the autumn of 2010.
PS not to confuse it with Le Méridien Paris Arc De Triomphe features a dedicated "Paris, I'm Ready" Céline Dion-themed suite, capturing a backstage concert experience)
